About Me
ARTIST STATEMENT
For the past seven years, my work has involved commercial photography aspects, profoundly impacting my career. My work ranges from a headshot, portrait, products, editorial, and advertisement photography. I find myself inspired by photographers like Joel Grimes, ClayCook, Blair Bunting, and Karl Taylor. They are fantastic photographers that use lights as a tool to create artwork. My work takes a technical understanding of lights to make a “conventionally beautiful photograph” in advertisements. Studio lighting is a critical factor in creating a successful image in my commercial work. Lighting determines not only brightness and darkness but also tone, mood, and the atmosphere. My work takes on various forms intended to draw in the viewer as a buyer or a witness.
